Union Member Highlight - Gary Spear  

In 1985, Gary was asked by a business associate to try pistol shooting competitively. He joined the Greene pistol team and began shooting in the Interstate Pistol Association League. In less than a year, Gary became a well respected shot. From then on it has been constant accomplishments. Some of these accomplishments are….

·         National Champion in 3 different styles of shooting

·          33 State Championship titles in 5 different shooting styles

·          8 time Mayleigh Cup team member which competes in a world championship (Only the  top ten shooters in the country, including non-civilians qualify)

·          10 time NRA/USA team firing member in civilian only competitions

·          In 1988 Gary started shooting in the Empire State Games. Since then he has accumulated the same results with 47 total medals including 18 Gold medals.  

 Gary truly stands out in competition shooting.
