Doxtator, Dept 47, 2nd shift Rob
has been riding four-wheelers (A.K.A. quads) since he was 12 years old. He had
always wanted to build a quad worthy enough to be published in a major magazine.
Inspired by a 2001 issue of “ATV
Sport”, Rob decided to completely rebuild a 1986 Honda Fourtrax 250R he named
“Overkill”. Started in 2001 and completed this year, the four-wheeler is
based around a CT Racing 350 Powervalve racing engine. Overkill is built
completely from custom and altered aftermarket parts. The project took about 500
hours over a four year period. Aside from many chrome and polished parts, the
quad has customized plastic with stainless steel maltese crosses and fabricated
vents from a Buick. Rob’s dedication to Overkill earned him an exclusive
article in the upcoming June issue of the very same nationally published
magazine that inspired him, “ATV Sport”.
